01 Who we are

02 What Venuralink does
Venuralink is a marketplace intermediary. We help organisers find, evaluate and contact hosts of event venues and vendors of event services across Nigeria.
Importantly, Venuralink does not own, operate, control, manage or endorse any of the venues or vendor businesses listed on the platform. Every listing belongs to an independent third party. Any agreement to book a venue or engage a vendor is a contract between the organiser and that host or vendor directly — Venuralink is not a party to it.
- “Organiser”
- A person or business looking to book a venue or engage a vendor for an event, using Venuralink to find and contact them.
- “Host”
- The owner or authorised manager of a venue listed on Venuralink.
- “Vendor”
- A supplier of event-related services (catering, décor, photography, sound, security, etc.) listed on Venuralink.
- “Listing”
- The public profile a host or vendor publishes on Venuralink describing their venue or service.
- “Enquiry”
- A message sent through Venuralink by an organiser to a host or vendor, expressing interest in booking or engaging them.
- “Booking”
- A confirmed agreement between an organiser and a host or vendor for a specific event date and service scope.
03 Accepting these terms
By accessing or using Venuralink — whether you browse anonymously, submit an enquiry, create an account, list a venue, or list a service — you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
We may update these terms from time to time. Substantive changes will be highlighted at the top of this page and, where you have an account, notified by email at least 30 days before they take effect. The “Last updated” date at the top always reflects the current version. If you continue to use the platform after a change takes effect, you accept the updated terms.
04 Accounts & eligibility
Age & capacity
You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a contract under Nigerian law to create an account. If you're using Venuralink on behalf of a business, you confirm you have authority to bind that business.
Account information
You agree to provide accurate, current and complete information when you register, and to keep it updated. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account. Notify us immediately at support@venuralink.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
Sign-in options
You may sign in with an email and password, or through a third-party authentication provider (currently Google Sign-In). When you use Google Sign-In, we receive your name and email address from Google, and process them as described in our Privacy Policy. Using Google Sign-In is subject to Google's own terms.
05 Roles on the platform
Different users have different responsibilities. In summary:
Organisers
- May browse listings anonymously, or create an account to save shortlists and manage enquiries.
- Are responsible for the accuracy of enquiry information they submit, and for the terms they negotiate directly with hosts and vendors.
- Must not use Venuralink to harass, defraud, or send unsolicited marketing to hosts or vendors.
Hosts & vendors
- Must own, or have written authorisation from the owner of, the venue or business they list.
- Are responsible for the accuracy, completeness and lawfulness of the content they publish, and for responding to enquiries in good faith.
- Must comply with all applicable Nigerian laws, licences and safety regulations that apply to their venue or service (including but not limited to fire safety, event permitting, food-handling, and public liability insurance where applicable).
- Must respond to enquiries within a reasonable time. Response-time signals are measured and displayed on your listing as a public quality indicator.
Venuralink
- Provides the platform, moderates listings, verifies host and vendor claims where possible, and provides tools for organisers to discover and contact them.
- Reserves the right to remove listings, suspend accounts, or refuse service where these terms are breached or where we reasonably believe removal is necessary to protect the platform, users, or third parties.
- Is not a party to any booking or engagement contract between an organiser and a host or vendor.
06 Listings & content
Your warranties as a host or vendor
By publishing a listing, you warrant that:
- You own, or are duly authorised to represent, the venue or business listed.
- All information you publish is accurate, current, and not misleading — including pricing, capacity, amenities, availability, and portfolio work.
- All photos, videos and other content you upload are either owned by you, or licensed to you with the right to publish them on Venuralink.
- The venue or service complies with all applicable laws, permits and licences.
- You have all insurances that a reasonable professional in your category would maintain.
Verification & the “Verified” badge
Some listings display a “Verified” badge. This means Venuralink has taken reasonable steps to confirm specific claims — typically the address, contact channels, backup power arrangements, security, and a sample of the portfolio. Verification is a snapshot in time, not a warranty. It does not mean Venuralink guarantees the quality of the venue or service, the outcome of any event, or the ongoing accuracy of listing information.
Moderation
We may edit, hide, or remove any listing or user-generated content that we reasonably believe breaches these terms, is misleading, is unlawful, or harms the reputation of the platform. Where possible, we'll notify you before taking action and give you a chance to remedy the issue.
Licence you grant us
When you upload content to a listing (photos, descriptions, videos, business information), you grant Venuralink a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, adapt (for formatting), and distribute that content on the platform, and to use it in Venuralink's own marketing materials (including social media posts about the platform) for as long as your listing is published, plus 24 months for archival and audit purposes. You retain ownership of your content.
07 Enquiries & bookings
Venuralink's core function is to introduce organisers to hosts and vendors. When you submit an enquiry, we deliver your contact details and event brief to the host or vendor, so they can reply to you directly.
Bookings happen off-platform (for now)
At present, all contracting, payment, deposits, cancellation, refunds, and dispute resolution between an organiser and a host or vendor happen directly between those parties, off the Venuralink platform. Venuralink is not a party to any such contract and does not hold funds, process payments, or act as an escrow agent. We may introduce in-platform booking and payment features in future; when we do, we will publish separate rules governing them and notify affected users in advance.
Response-time signals
To help organisers pick responsive partners, we measure the median time hosts and vendors take to reply to their first enquiry from each organiser, and display that as a public signal on each listing. The signal is measured, not claimed. It is not a guarantee that any specific enquiry will be answered within a given time.
Bookings are between organiser and host / vendor
Any dispute about pricing, availability, event delivery, refunds, damages or quality is a matter between the organiser and the host or vendor. Venuralink may, at our discretion, help facilitate a resolution — but we are not obliged to, and we accept no liability for the outcome. Nothing in this section limits any statutory rights you may have as a consumer under Nigerian law.
08 Fees & payments
At launch — the platform is free
As of September 2026, Venuralink is free to use for all users — organisers, hosts and vendors alike. No listing fees, no enquiry fees, no commission on bookings. We may introduce the fee mechanisms described below in future, with at least 30 days notice.
For clarity and forward-looking transparency, these are the fee mechanisms Venuralink may operate in the future. Publishing them here now allows us to switch them on later with appropriate notice, without needing to renegotiate these terms — but it does not mean they are active today. The current, live fees at any time are published on our Pricing page.
| Mechanism | Who pays | How it works |
|---|---|---|
| Booking commission | Host or vendor | A percentage of the value of a successfully-completed booking, invoiced to the host or vendor after the event, at the rate published on the Pricing page. |
| Featured listings | Host or vendor (optional) | An optional monthly fee to have a listing appear with enhanced placement — top of search results, featured badge, larger card. Purely optional; a standard listing is always free. |
| Premium subscription | Host or vendor (optional) | An optional monthly or annual subscription that unlocks premium tier benefits — additional listing slots and portfolio photos, priority placement in search, enhanced analytics dashboard, faster and prioritised customer support, and access to premium leads and enquiry types. Standard listing remains free forever. |
Taxes
All fees, when introduced, are quoted in Nigerian Naira (NGN) and are exclusive of Value Added Tax (VAT). Where VAT is chargeable under Nigerian law, it will be added to the invoice at the prevailing statutory rate. You are responsible for any other taxes that apply to you.
Changes to fees
We will publish any new or changed fee on our Pricing page and notify affected users by email at least 30 days before the change takes effect. You may close your account or unpublish your listing at any time before a fee change takes effect if you do not agree with it.
Payment processing
When we introduce paid features, payment will be collected by a licensed Nigerian payment processor on our behalf. That processor's terms will apply to the payment transaction. Venuralink does not store your full card details.
09 Prohibited conduct
You agree not to use Venuralink to:
- Post false, misleading, deceptive or fraudulent information — including impersonating a business you don't represent.
- List a venue or service that is illegal, unsafe, or lacks the required licences and permits.
- Circumvent the platform — for example, offering a discount to an organiser to complete a booking off-platform specifically to avoid a Venuralink fee once fees are in effect. Direct-contact after an initial introduction is fine and expected; deliberate fee evasion is not.
- Send spam, unsolicited marketing, or harassing messages to any user.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, mass-download, or otherwise systematically extract data from the platform, other than via published APIs (if any).
- Introduce viruses, malware, or attempt to disrupt, overload or gain unauthorised access to the platform.
- Discriminate against any organiser or user in a way that is unlawful under Nigerian law.
- Use the platform for money laundering, sanctions evasion, or any activity that violates Nigerian financial-crime laws.
We may suspend or terminate accounts, and remove listings, that breach this section — without refund of any fees paid.
10 Third-party services
Venuralink relies on third-party services to operate. Their terms and privacy policies apply to the parts of the service they provide. In particular:
- Google Sign-In — if you sign in with Google, Google's terms and privacy policy apply to your Google account and to the authentication transaction.
- Payment processors — when introduced, the payment processor's terms will apply to the payment transaction.
- Email deliverability — we use a third-party email service to deliver transactional and notification emails.
- Database & hosting — we use third-party cloud services to host the platform.
- External links — the platform may include links to third-party websites. We're not responsible for the content or practices of those sites.
See our Privacy Policy for the list of processors and how they handle data.
11 Intellectual property
Our brand and platform
The name “Venuralink”, the Venuralink logo, the tagline “Spaces. People. Moments.”, the platform design, source code, copy, and all associated branding are the intellectual property of Venuralink Limited (or licensed to us) and are protected by Nigerian and international intellectual property laws. You may not copy, adapt, or use them without our written permission, except as reasonably necessary to link to the platform.
Your content
You retain ownership of everything you upload. The licence you grant us to use it is described in section 6.
Notice of infringement
If you believe content on Venuralink infringes your intellectual property rights, email us at temi@venuralink.com with (i) a description of the work, (ii) the specific listing or URL, (iii) your contact details, and (iv) a statement, made in good faith, that you own the rights or are authorised to act on the owner's behalf. We will investigate and, where appropriate, remove the content.
12 Disclaimers
Venuralink is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by Nigerian law, we exclude all warranties and representations that are not expressly set out in these terms — including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free or completely secure.
In particular, Venuralink does not warrant:
- The accuracy, completeness, or currency of any listing — that is the responsibility of the host or vendor who publishes it.
- The suitability, safety, quality, legality, or availability of any venue or service listed.
- The identity, credentials, or trustworthiness of any user — though we take reasonable steps to verify where a “Verified” badge is displayed.
- The performance of any booking, contract, or event delivered by a host or vendor.
Organisers are responsible for making their own reasonable enquiries about a venue or vendor before committing.
13 Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Nigerian law:
- Venuralink is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special or exemplary losses — including loss of profit, loss of revenue, loss of data, business interruption, or damage to reputation — arising from your use of the platform, from any booking or engagement between users, or from any inability to access the platform.
- Venuralink's total aggregate liability to any user, in any 12-month period, for all claims arising out of or related to these terms or the platform, is capped at the greater of (a) the fees you have actually paid to Venuralink in the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) ₦50,000.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded under Nigerian law — including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold Venuralink Limited harmless from any claims, losses, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from (i) your breach of these terms, (ii) content you publish on the platform, (iii) your interactions with other users, or (iv) any booking or engagement you enter into with another user.
14 Termination
To close your account, email support@venuralink.com from the address registered on your account with the subject line “Account closure”. We aim to process closures within 5 working days — the short window gives our team a chance to reach out if we can help resolve whatever is prompting the request. Once processed, account access ends immediately, and retention of any remaining stored data is governed by our Privacy Policy. If, during the 5-day window, you change your mind, reply to our acknowledgement to cancel the request.
We may suspend or terminate your access — with or without notice, at our discretion — if you materially breach these terms, if we're required to do so by law, or if we reasonably believe your continued use puts other users or the platform at risk. Where reasonable, we'll notify you first and give you an opportunity to remedy the issue.
The following sections survive termination: 6 (licence you grant us), 10 (third-party services), 11 (intellectual property), 12 (disclaimers), 13 (limitation of liability), 15 (disputes), and any accrued payment obligations.
15 Disputes & governing law
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and specifically by the Companies and Allied Matters Act, 2020, the Nigeria Data Protection Act, 2023, and other applicable Nigerian statutes.
Try to resolve directly first
If you have a dispute with us, please contact us first at temi@venuralink.com with a clear description of the issue and what you'd like as an outcome. Most issues can be resolved this way within 30 days.
Arbitration
If we can't resolve a dispute directly within 30 days of your written notice, either party may refer the dispute to arbitration under the Arbitration and Mediation Act, 2023. The arbitration will be conducted in English, seated in Lagos, Nigeria, before a single arbitrator agreed by both parties — or, failing agreement within 14 days, appointed by the Chairman of the Lagos Court of Arbitration.
Jurisdiction
Where a claim is not subject to arbitration — including any application for interim or urgent relief — you agree that the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria have exclusive jurisdiction.
